Tame rats are usually pretty calm. They ar also rather intelligent and rarely will a tame rat bite. The rat you describe sounds like a rex rat, which is definately a rat someone bred to specifically have fur like that. Rats are pretty cool pets. If you'd be interested in keeping him let me know and I can help you find food and a cage for him and stuff. Otherwise, yeah, I'll happily take him off your hands for you. Jaye
